An unfinished basement is turned into the perfect retreat.

What started as finishing out the basement, quickly became a whole house design and furnishing project! We started making decisions for the basement that truly reflected the clients’ warm, classic aesthetic, and they quickly wanted to carry that up and throughout the entire main level of their home!
The ethos of the entire project was simple, cozy, and fuss-free! The basement would function as the family’s main hangout zone with family and friend! The clients’ often host sports games parties and enjoy movie nights as a family, so we aimed to maximize seating and prioritize comfort and low maintenance pieces. We chose low, loungey furniture in tan and navy blue leather that are ultra comfortable and easy to clean! The sofas one-arm design enabled the fireplace to remain in view from all angles of the room, and accommodates extra seating space. A pillow-y lounge chair completes the seating arrangement and is fit for two!
